4DP 4TW Yamaha TZ250 reed splitter & manifold set

Here at Gecko, we've been working hard on new product development. These are our Yamaha TZ250 4DP/4TW reed splitters. Based on 500 GP technology, these splitters speed up airflow and open the reeds 13% more than standard = more air/fuel and a bigger bang. On the dyno we found these added 2-3 bhp across the rev range.

Fitting the kit requires the original rubber carb manifolds to be cut - removing the ears. So we supply new manifolds in the kit, giving you the option to keep your standard parts as spare. See photos, which show how you need to use a scalpel to cut off the ears, making room for the inserts.

The reed splitter is hand made, using a special nylon-resin mix, which is durable and fuel resistant.

This kit is designed for track use to get the best from it will require the services of a suitably experienced, professional mechanic and dyno time.

Full kit includes: 1x left 1x right hand reed splitter insert, 1x left 1x right carb manifold - all parts are new. Please confirm 4DP or 4TW when ordering as per the Yamaha design, they are slightly different both on the carb stub OD and the internal stuffer shape. The four part splitter and manifold set is £425 + any applicable taxes.
